Youth Events

As you are aware, at the Jamaica Union Bible Boom finals held on the 12th of October at the Maranatha SDA church in Mandeville, Ogarth Bryan from the East Jamaica Conference won and thus will be the JAMU representative at the IAD finals in Cuba on the weekend of December 7. Our heartiest congratulations to Ogarth and to EJC; and our best wishes for success in the IAD finals. There are also some interesting changes coming to the Bible Boom for 2014. Keep in touch with your conference youth department and your AY federation for further details, or watch out for the information on this site.

The World Youth Congress in South Africa is now history and the members of the team that represented JAMU are back having had an exciting and spirit-filled experience. All eyes are now on the IAD Youth Congress coming up in July of 2014 in Guatemala, Central America. It promises to be exciting and an event to be remembered. If you are interested in being a part of the delegation to Guatemala in July contact your youth department now. Approximate costing is already available, along with other pertinent travel details. This is one you will not want to miss!

We are on the verge of putting out the first edition of our Jamaica Union youth newspaper. We are still however, in need of news items and articles from our churches, societies, schools and individual youth. A newspaper needs news! We are soliciting articles, stories, ads, promos – anything that might be of value and interest to our youth island-wide. Please, this is an urgent need.
